Girls Weekend, Atlantic City!

We had a Gettysburg girls reunion this past weekend at Julie's family beach house in Brigantine, NJ. It was my first trip to the Jersey Shore (which I never thought would happen to a Cape girl). Luckily, despite threat of thunderstorms the entire time, we had great weather and it only rained a bit in the evening. We went out to Atlantic City Saturday night, which was an interesting experience. I didn't think it would be the stereotypical 'grandma sitting at the slots' scene, but that is exactly what it was. Julie played Roulette, mainly while the rest of us watched. Mara and I attempted one "slot machine", and pretty much only got $1 back for the $5 we put in. Such crazy gamblers, we are. It was great to see everyone, and we are looking forward to making it an annual event.
